1930- "THE CHAIN GANG" WAS RELEASED, AND WAS THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF PLUTO. HOWEVER, HE DID NOT OFFICIALLY RECEIVE THE NAME UNTIL HIS 1931 APPEARANCE IN "THE MOOSE HUNT."

 

1930- THE FIRST DISNEY BOOK, TITLED "THE MICKEY MOUSE BOOK" WAS PUBLISHED

1932- WALT DISNEY RECEIVES HONORARY ACADEMY AWARD FOR THE CREATION OF MICKEY MOUSE

1932- "MICKEY'S REVUE" WAS RELEASED, MARKING THE DEBUT OF GOOFY

 

1932- "FLOWERS AND TREES" WAS RELEASED AND WAS THE FIRST CARTOON MADE IN FULL-COLOR AND THE FIRST TO EVER WIN AN ACADEMY AWARD.

1933- THE DISNEY COMPANY INTRODUCED THE "MICKEY MOUSE" WATCH, SAVING THE INGERSOLL WATCH COMPANY FROM BANKRUPTCY.

1934- "THE WISE LITTLE HEN" WAS RELEASED, MARKING THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF DONALD DUCK

 

1935- "THE BAND CONCERT" WAS RELEASED, WHICH WAS THE FIRST MICKEY MOUSE COLOR CARTOON

1937- ON DECEMBER 21, "SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS" PREMIERED AT THE CARTHAY CIRCLE THEATER IN HOLLYWOOD, CA. ITS RELEASE MARKED THE FIRST FULL-LENGTH ANIMATED FEATURE.

1937- THE DISNEY STUDIO WAS HONORED WITH AN ACADEMY AWARD FOR THE CREATION AND USE OF THE "MULTIPLANE" CAMERA, WHICH ALLOWS FOR A THREE-DIMENSIONAL QUALITY TO ANIMATION.
